DirecTV Call Center Database Support, August 2008 to April 2010.

·   Support database administrative position during the roll-out of a new CRM call center solution.
Supported, managed, and maintained more than a dozen MS Access databases.

·   Performed daily generation of files for upload into a remote CRM Call-center management database (Oracle/Siebel CRM), using MS Access to generate these upload files.
Worked extensively with queries, tables, data types, import/export specifications, VBA, reports, and forms.

·   Built nearly a half dozen MS Access databases from scratch.

·   Provided technical support in MS Excel worksheet VBA and formulas to the call center supervisors.

·   Basic C#/.Net programming.

o   Query/update the remote CRM data servers using web services (SOAP).

o   List processing, manipulating local data stores (in each of the MS Office applications).

o   Web-scraping via COM automation and sockets.

o   Generally automating as much work as possible.

·   Supported CRM users via creation of profiles, password resets, and report writing (formatted querying with built-in graphing)


Time-Warner Cable Call Center Customer Service Phone Agent, Jan 2007 to Mar 2008.

·   Provided a wide range of customer account management services, from billing and payments through sales and new orders.

·   Took customer phone calls, using CSG Systems database for data recording and update.


Independent Contract to Create a Database for a Church Bible Study Group, Nov to Dec 2006

·   Constructed from scratch an Access database for the purpose of tracking class rosters and enrollment.

·   Created several related data-tables, forms, reports, and table-specific SQL commands to query for record-sets.


Davita Renal Healthcare, HR Call Center Database Support, March to Dec 2006.

·   Provided staff support to the disability human resources department during a merger of two companies, Davita and Gambro Renal Healthcare.

·   Performed HR Specialist work of tracking leaves of absence, corresponding with Clinic Managers and Human Resource Managers by Email and Fax, and document management.

·   Managed a medium-sized Microsoft Access database.

o   Created custom database queries

o   Set up and trained a colleague on the use of a specialized database query.

o   Wrote Visual Basic routines to prepare for eventually moving all data to an integrated web-application database.
 

·   Created automation programming (C++ and Visual Basic) to speed some highly labor-intensive tasks such as mass-emails, mass print-outs of customized fax cover sheets, and mass search engine list processing.

·   Saved hundreds of man-hours and money by automating tasks using self-created computer programs. Manual processing of these tasks would have involved multiple people and a prohibitive consumption of time.


Work experience prior to 2006 primarily involved customer service (both face to face and via call center contacts) in a number of organizations, including ATT Broadband, Qwest Communications, and Dish Network. Details are available on request.
